PureStake Launches Staking Services on Kusama in Preparation for Polkadot

New Validator Service Lets Users Earn Staking Rewards While Securing the Kusama Network

Boston, MA – October 29, 2019 – PureStake, a leader in secure and reliable blockchain infrastructure, announced today the release of its new validator services for Kusama, a network built using Polkadot technology.

Validators serve a critical function on delegated Proof of Stake networks, ensuring block production and security of the network is maintained. PureStake’s validators provide a secure and reliable service to network participants looking to earn rewards on their crypto assets. The new validator service is deployed using an infrastructure-as-code approach in a multi-cloud, multi-pop environment across AWS, Azure, and Google clouds, and is operated according to the ISO27K standard.

Some security highlights of PureStake’s validator infrastructure include:

  • Network segmentation, VPCs, VPNs to create validator isolation.
  • Load balancers, firewalls, ACLs, DDoS, and perimeter protection.
  • IDS and centralized log analysis to identify and alert on security threats.
  • Host hardening according to NIST standards, fully automated patching.
  • Daily network and system vulnerability scanning and remediation.

“Our Validator service for Kusama is the first of several planned infrastructure services in the Polkadot ecosystem,” said Derek Yoo, PureStake CEO. “Polkadot and Substrate dramatically reduce the barriers and friction that traditionally have come with building blockchain networks, while at the same time allowing for application specialization. We believe that these technologies will drive significant innovation in the blockchain space.”

Users can stake their KSM tokens using the new service using the addresses found here.

PureStake Launches API Service for Algorand Developers

New API-as-a-Service Technology Streamlines Application Development on the Algorand Blockchain

Boston, MA – August 22, 2019 – PureStake, a leader in secure and reliable blockchain infrastructure, announced today the release of its new Algorand API-as-a-Service. This service offering allows developers to easily interact with the Algorand network without needing to host and manage their own infrastructure. With the PureStake API service, developers can quickly and reliably access both Algorand’s TestNet and MainNet, reducing time to market and improving application stability.

This release provides access to the full Algorand API, which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Account information
  • Transaction information
  • Sending transactions
  • Ledger supply
  • Transaction fees
  • Transaction parameters

“We see our API service as an effortless on-ramp to the Algorand network that enables developers to focus on their application, rather than its supporting infrastructure,” said Derek Yoo, PureStake CEO. “Algorand’s support for very high transaction volumes and immediate transaction finality make it an ideal choice for decentralized applications. We are excited to make it easier for developers to build applications that take advantage of these unique properties by using our API service.”

Developers can register for the PureStake API service in minutes through an online registration portal. To celebrate the launch of the API service, PureStake is sponsoring Algorand’s upcoming hackathons and will give event participants free access to the API for the duration of the event.
